Friday Favorites: Two Boys!

I know I am late getting to post this but today was insane! I got up at 4:15 to make sure that all 40 lunches were ready!! Yes I said 40! It is the most I have ever had and it felt awesome! I had to call in back up for help! Hudson stayed with Gigi and my friend Jennifer helped me deliver! So grateful for all the love and support! Anywho....I'm linking up with these sweet ladies...Andrea , Erika, and Narci to tell you my favorites this week! ;)

*Jagger moment-  I loved that we got to have a special night with just Jagger! It was such a great night and we made lots of good memories! Here is my absolute favorite picture from the night...
This is what life is about!!! Love those dimples! ;)

*Hudson moment- I keep asking myself when did Hudson decide to be a big boy??? I swear it happened over night! He cracks me up with his little independent self! He does not want help with anything and thinks he is as big as his big brother!
He wanted to sit by himself at the ballgame...no help...just sit and watch like a big boy!! Boo on growing up! :(

*Outfit.....
I loved that this was something I just threw on and was happy with..

*Parenthood- so we are WAY behind on the Parenthood train....we are not good tv people, well live tv people..It just doesn't work with our schedule..we are much better at watching on Netflix, or Hulu! So we decided to start watching Parenthood and LOVE IT (Can I be a Braverman??)!!! It is probably one of my favorite shows! I have heard that the series finale was good, but you need a box of tissues!

*Verse- I want to try and have a verse each week! One verse that I keep with me during the week. One verse to completely focus on!!
Just trying to enjoy each day!!!

Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Lots of love..

Jagger's Night!

Last night, Matthew and I took Jagger to see the Harlem Globetrotters! This has been our 2nd year to see them and we have a blast!! Hudson gets to stay with Gigi, so its strictly a night for Jagger! It is nice to spend some quality time with just him! We let him pick what he wants to eat for supper and then head to the game! If you have not been to a Globetotters game, you are missing out! It is for sure a good time! The kids especially love it!
Our night started with none other than pizza!!! (my kids love pizza and could eat it for 3 meals a day!) and of course he wanted the pizza place that has all of these crane machines! He blew about 5 dollars in 10 seconds and came out with a bouncy ball, tiny rubber duck, and a two headed plastic dragon!! My mind: rip-off!!!   His mind: PURE HAPPINESS!!!! He was so excited about his loot! ;)
This boy can tear up some pizza! After eating 4 pieces of Macaroni Pizza, he decided on Chocolate Explosion pizza!! Yummy! Chocolate and pizza..what more can you want?

When we finished with supper, Jagger wanted to go straight to the game! We still had over an hour but he was insisting, so we made our way there!! I was shocked that the line was already long to get in! We really only waited about 10 minutes to get in the building!

We found our seats and once we got seated, we still had 40 minutes to wait!! BORING!
so Mama did what I do best.....did a little shopping!! :) Jagger was jumping up and down when I brought him his new prize!

Doesn't he look cute!! He thought he was something in this jersey!!!  His favorite player is ANT, so having an ANT jersey made it even better!

We are not very good at waiting so for about 10 minutes this is what happened....

Yay!! Finally the game started!! We had great tickets....Two rows from the floor!
This was his face through the whole game.. I'm telling you its worth going just for this!!
and then he talked Daddy into these...
He is one cool cat!!

and then we ended the night getting autographs!!

Such a fun night!! Can't wait to have another Jagger night!
Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Lots of love..

What I Am Wearing!

So I have never really thought of myself as a "fashionista", but I do love to look cute? I mean come on who doesn't??? It just makes you feel better! Before I became a stay at home mommy, I worked in retail! I hardly ever wore yoga pants and tees....I was a heels and cute top kind of girl! Well.......enter stay at home mom and exit high heels! ;) Do I dress up everyday? No, but I do enjoy the days I am presentable! I am going to try to get better about taking pics of what I am wearing so I can share some of my favorite pieces with you! Here's whats going on in my closet the last few days....

*Black and White Striped purse!! So typically I carry my Michael Kors bag which I love but I was wanting to give it a break! I have been looking for a black purse but I really didn't want to spend a ton of money...and yes purses are a ton of money! (It kills me!)  so I found this one...and I love it!! It is big enough to carry everything (wallet, phone, toys, diapers, food, etc)

*I love the Charlie Southern brand shirts...they are so soft and comfy! This was first thing in the morning. I threw it on with some yoga pants and then that night for the ballgame switched the yoga pants for skinny jeans. I put a denim shirt on over it and a cute necklace! It is a great piece to dress up or down! ;) and of course I love the names on it!

*Plaid makes me happy!!! Vests make me happy!! Converse make me super happy! put them all together and what do you get.....A cute outfit! ;)    I have had this vest for awhile and really didn't know what to wear it with. I have tried it with several things and was not happy, but decided to give it another shot! I am glad I did...I will definitely be wearing again!

and all the other days you would find me in these...

Cotton Mayfair Pajama from Victoria Secret! Do I wear them like this? UMM No.....Do I look like this? NO!! I wear these pjs for comfort, not to be sexy like this chic! (Victoria Secret..you kill me with your pictures..don't pose your girl here in comfy pjs trying to be sexy, these pjs are for laying on the couch wrapped up in a blanket!) ok enough about that.... So there are days I am literally changing into them before I can put my purse down!

So anything great you are wearing lately???
Hope everyone has a blessed day!!
Lots of love..

Megan's Daily Bread!

Today is Grateful Heart Monday!! I am so happy that Emily over at Ember Grey does this because I love waking up with my mind on what I am grateful for! Thank you Emily!
This morning I woke up grateful for Megan's Daily Bread! Megan's Daily Bread?? Let me explain....It all started 6 years ago when Matthew and I decided I would become a stay at home mommy!! We were not really sure this was the best decision but in the end we knew it was right for us! Fast forward 3 1/2 years, we welcome Hudson..We had plans for me to try and go back to work, but after lots and lots of prayers we knew God needed me at home! This was his purpose for me at this time in my life! Our sweet Hudson spent the first 5 months of his life in the hospital. As you know medical expenses can drain any family! Welcome to our world! I have spent many nights crying out to God, asking him to please provide a job for me so I can help out! We thought doors would open and than Bam, God would slam them in my face!! I am still at home, and bills are still rolling in!  Matthew and I decided to just hand it to God and let him take care of it! Enter Megan's Daily Bread!
The whole concept is that God provides us with what we all need and I want to provide a "daily bread". The lunches always consist of a main item, side and of course dessert! I try to keep it pretty simple- sandwiches, chips, pickle and cookies/brownies! I am not a gourmet cook but I can promise all the food is prepared with love and prayer! My favorite part is that each lunch includes a random bible verse.  I have had  so much fun with this and I want everyone to know that I do not say, "ok, here is Susie's bag. She needs this bible verse" No, I feel I don't need to be the one to pick what you need, God does. So on Friday after I packed all the food, I went down through with my stack of cards and dropped a random card in each one! I will never know what verse or quote you get. This is completely a God thing! I can't think of a better way to spend lunch than eating a home cooked meal and getting some inspiration for the day!!
I pray everyday that our Heavenly Father would get all the glory from Megan's Daily Bread and that everyone who orders a lunch will be blessed!!

A look inside the bag!!

writing out scripture!

Again I am beyond grateful for all the wonderful people I see with Megan's Daily Bread!! I thank God for this opportunity everyday!
Link up with Emily and tell us what you are grateful for!!
Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Lots of love..

Facts About Me!

I have gotten several new readers in the last couple of months, so I thought today I would give you some facts about me that you may not know!!!

*I am an only child and the only grandchild on both sides... On my moms side I am the only one and on my dad's side I am the only "Bennett" grandchild...

*I did not finish college....I worked all through college and by work, I mean full time...sometimes 40+ hours a week. It was so hard to split the time, that I eventually just quit. I do have an associates degree, and hope one day to finish up my bachelors!

*I never thought I would be a stay at home mom! I have always loved to be out and about. I love people and honestly never saw myself as a stay at mommy, but I am, and I wouldn't change it for the world!

*I have a cross tattoo on the back of my neck! I swear I would take it back if I could....and I think I started this trend :)  Hardly anyone knows I have it because my hair is long! I guess it could be worse?

* I have a somewhat obsessive personality! When I get "on" something I am all about it! example: If I collect something I can't just get one, I need several and I don't want to wait for them! Whoops...

*I am horrible with patience..I pray everyday that God would grant me the patience needed for that day!

*I gain and lose weight every year! This is so irritating for me..I do try very hard to be "healthy" but good grief, food has a strong hold on me! This year I am truly trying to change this. I am wanting to make better choices not only for me but my kids!

*I have battled depression, but with God have overcome it!

*I use to worry about the most random things...When I was little I worried about the weather so bad it would make me sick. If a cloud came up in the sky, I was in the closet!  I worried about the government, end of the world, etc..things I could not control! Thank goodness I have overcome this!!

*I have had two C-sections that were completely different! Jagger was born at 41 weeks and almost 10lbs.   Hudson was at 27 weeks and 2lbs...   With Jagger it took me weeks to recover; Hudson a few days!

*I am terrified of drowning!

*Matthew and I met in a shoe store! ;)

Well...that's all I have for you today!! Maybe you learned something new!
Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Lots of love..

Kennett Crossroads!

My husband is from a very small unique town in the southern most part of Missouri...we are 5 miles from the Arkansas line! I have always wondered why we are not in Arkansas and not Missouri?? When we first got married, I never realized how special Kennett truly is! I just thought it was some little ol' town that only had farmers and was the breeding ground to every mosquito in the world! Boy was I wrong! Yes...it has those things and much more!
Kennett is full of talent!! Tons of music talent comes from here and not just one name but several BIG names! You have....
*Blackjack Billy
Noll, the 2nd from the left is from Kennett! Awesome group, and tons of fun to listen to!

*Trent Tomlinson-

*David Nail -

and..................my home girl...........

Sheryl Crow!!!

It truly is amazing that this town is exploding with such awesome talent! and there are so many more!
Anywho.....tonight was a concert that featured all 4 of them!! The concert was held at the high school auditorium, where all 4 of these were on stage at some point in high school! It was such a  neat experience to see them back here performing! I enjoyed them all, but Sheryl has my heart! We go back to when I was in 2nd grade! My love for her started then with All I Wanna Do!! I have literally grown up with her music!

So, with all that being said, I will fess up and admit that when I first moved here, I would have Matthew drive me by her parents house, just so I could see if an out of town license plate would be there!! hahahahhaha....I am not sure I should admit that! that lasted about a month and I moved on! I still have not met here, and Matthew says for good reasons! (He probably thinks I would scare her off) Me, I keep thinking we will hit it off, and become best friends! :)  Ok..now yall really think I am nuts! Hey...a girl can dream right?

Back to the concert! It was super hot, and my silly camera on my phone was totally failing on me, but overall it was one of the best concerts I have been too!!! So Awesome!!
It was a very proud moment for this small town!
Blackjack Billy

Trent

David

Come on Sheryl!!

There she is!!

All of them together!

Yes I know my picture quality is horrible!! My phone was not enjoying all the lights last night! ;)

Hope everyone has a blessed day!

If It Makes You Happy!!!

If It Makes You Happy........one of my favorite songs by Sheryl Crow!!! and guess what??? I get to see her tonight!! EEEEEKKKKKKK...I am so super excited! Tonight in our small little town is Kennett Crossroads, a concert with Sheryl Crow, Trent Tomlinson, David Nail, and Noll Billings(Blackjack Billy)...all Kennett natives! For such a small town, this town is full of HUGE talent!! I will give you updates on how it goes..I know it will be amazing! I was in 2nd grade when I fell in love with Sheryl Crow's music, so we go way back!! :)

Well in other news, we have had a pretty uneventful weekend around here! Friday night we spent time with our good friends, and had some much needed laughter! ;)
Saturday morning we got up and went to my friend Jennifer's house. The boys played while we played catch up on what was going on! Then after lunch we decided to hop in the car and do some shopping! I was so happy to spend girl time with her!
Then that night we went over to Matthew's family to celebrate his sister's birthday. By the time we got home we were all exhausted and called it a night!

Sunday, we all went to church, then had Sunday lunch at Grandma Betty's. After lunch we did the sister in law's family party (cake, and presents). The rest of the day was nothing special. Jagger had a buddy spend the night, so our house was filled with lots of laughter! This morning the boys decided they wanted to cook me breakfast!! Yes you heard it..wanted to cook mama breakfast!  I will take it! :) Please know that my husband is not a cook, at all!! He can cook cereal, so I was pleasantly surprised at how the pancakes turned out!

Hope everyone has a blessed day!!
Lots of love..

Friday Favorites:Random things!

Woohooo! Time for Friday Favorites!! Nothing major happened in our lives this week, and sometimes I think that is a good thing! I need a semi-quiet week!

*this verse has been with me this week...
Always trust in the Lord!!

*This picture....My boys absolutely love their cousin Justin! Jagger asks all the time when cousin Justin is coming home from college!

*Happy Everything platter!   I have been eyeing this thing for a few years now and finally saved Christmas money to get it! I love that you can buy so many different attachments for it! Such a fun piece!

*Revenge- I love this show but never get to watch it "live". I always have to play catch up on Hulu, but my oh my!! I get hooked and can't stop!

* Good news- We have again got good news on Hudson! Our Therapist told us yesterday that she will only be coming once a month from now on! It is very bittersweet! We are so happy with the progress he is making but we are going to miss these people so much! Through this whole journey we have been blessed with the best doctors, nurses and therapists ever! I get so attached and then cry when it's time to move on! We are going to miss them, but we are so excited that our sweet boy is doing so well! ;) Yay Hudson!

Link up with these lovely ladies and tell us your favorites! AndreaErika, and Narci!
Hope everyone has a blessed weekend!
Lots of love..

Not Perfect!

The last 6 to 8 months have been tough in the Cohn family! We have personally just been going through a lot...I have been in a huge slump and had to finally get some help! I am starting to feel so much better! That all being said, Matthew and I have also been heartbroken over some of the things that have been said about us. We have been told that we are selfish, not good friends, and that Jesus can't be seen in us! This is been a hard thing but we just hand it to God and move forward! We are not perfect by no means, and have never claimed to be, but we just want to live our lives for God!

*I have a horrible temper, and can at times be quick to anger! I am not proud of this, but it is something I am working on everyday! I am not perfect!

*I was pregnant before we got married. This was not how we wanted things to be, but it is what it is. I am not perfect!

*I have had to get help with depression several times in the last 6 years. This does not make me any less of a Christian! I am not perfect!

*I want to be in control! God has been dealing with me in major ways to let go! He is in control! I am not perfect!

*I go on a diet every Monday! I have a horrible time with weight loss.....I am not perfect!

*Matthew and I have good days and bad days. There are days I want to slap him...You did what???   I am not perfect!

*I see other people and what they have and wonder why we can't have that..."Megan, what you have is good enough!"   I am not perfect!

*I am not good with a "beauty routine"....my toenails stayed chipped for weeks before I paint them, my eyebrows sometimes get out of control, face wash...what is that???   I am not perfect!

*I have had major credit card problems in the past!!! Matthew has taught me so much about money and how to be mindful!!   I am not perfect!

*There are times I don't have much patience with my kids! I am not perfect!

My name is Megan Cohn. I am 28 years old, married with two awesome kids! I love God with all my heart! I mess up a lot, but I know God is right there helping me out! I know I am not perfect, but I try my best to be someone that our Heavenly Father is proud of!!
Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Lots of love...

To My Hubs!

I think at times I do not give my hubby the credit he deserves! I get caught up in the normal routine of life. I don't do this on purpose, but it happens and then I feel horrible! Matthew is such a wonderful man. I feel beyond blessed that God brought him into my life! To say I am proud is an understatement!! He is an AMAZING dad! He would do anything for his boys! He loves our town and works hard to better it..(Enter bragging moment....He is now officially the President of our Chamber!) He is a member of the local Lions Club, a deacon in our church,  and the worship leader for our Praise Band at church! He loves God first and then the rest falls into place!
I am grateful that he works so that I can stay at home with our boys! I have mentioned going back to work several times and he always says he would rather me stay at home!
I am high strung. He is not! I always worry about the small things. He does not. He always comforts me when I am down, and he also knows how to push my buttons like no one else :)
I love his laugh, and my oh my, that smile!! His blue eyes melt my heart everyday! I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together!! Thank you Matthew for all you do for our family! You are the best! Love you to infinity!

Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Lots of love...
